FAQs

FAQs

Can I have an awning even though I have a waste pipe in the way?
Yes you can. We have many designs of brackets to overcome various obstacles such as waste pipes and soil stacks.
Do I need planning permission for a glass room or terrazza?
In most cases you shouldn’t, but it is always worth checking with your local council or parish prior to ordering in case of any conservation or extra building restrictions in your area.
What if my awning gets wet due to heavy rain?
At Arcadia, we recommend that your awning should not be used in heavy rain, but on the off chance you get caught out and it does get wet, then don’t panic. Simply close your awning whilst the conditions are bad. Once the weather improves, simply extend your awning to allow the fabric to blow any excess moisture off it. It won’t go moldy if you put it away wet due to the numerous protective coatings applied to it.
Can I have heating and lighting fitted at a later date?
Yes you can. Provided there is adequate room underneath your awning, we can fit heating and/or lighting as you require.
How much does each product cost and why don’t you list prices on your site?
